For wine products using COS QR codes on labels, the platform enables each product to be associated with a secure verification entry stored on the VeriDoc Ledger.
When a wine label is registered within the VeriDoc Global verification system, a cryptographic hash is generated from the product’s identification data. This digital fingerprint is recorded on the VeriDoc Ledger and serves as the trusted reference for authentication.
Because records stored on the VeriDoc Ledger cannot be altered, wineries and distributors can verify that label information remains unchanged after registration. If a counterfeit label attempts to replicate the QR code or modify product information, the verification system immediately detects that the scanned data does not match the original record.
